Boo and I were on the hunt for some pots and pans and Macy’s was kind enough to send us a magazine telling us some serious pots and pans were on sale. THEN they sent me a 20% off gift certificate on anything on my registry. So the plan was to return a platter I received that I thought was only going to be $50. I had $50 gift card and $50 check as a wedding gift. That was enough where we wouldn’t have to shell much if anything out for said pots and pans. Well, it turns out said platter was $168. OMGeeeee CHA CHING. Pots and pans covered. Throw in a 16oz pot for fun and I walked away from Macy’s spending $0 out of pocket and still having $$ left over to spend.
I bought a flight to DC for $5. YES. You read that right. $5.
So I just told my team I am taking Monday after the Super Bowl off.
I did it for one main reason: so I can have fun on Sunday and sleep in on Monday. But deep down inside I also did it because I work with a lot of Giants fans…and after the LAST time we played each other (and I was living in Boston), I learned quickly to just take the next day off.
Not trying to air any dirty family facebook drama on here. But my brother (BROTHER) just wrote me an email that said to "stop tagging pictures of him on facebook and to remove all tags."
Soooooo - here’s the thing(s). 1) I didn’t even tag you. It was my album that someone tagged you in. 2) The ONE (1) picture where you were tagged was with our family from mine and Boo’s wedding day. 3) DO IT YOURSELF. You can easily untag yourself. In fact, it probably would have taken LESS time to untag yourself than to write a cold hearted email to me for something that I didn’t even do…
Oh and 4) Untagging takes more time than simply de-friending. Consider that shit untagged and de-friended. Since you can’t stand a picture of yourself with your siblings, then I don’t think there’s much need to fake being friends.
<end> being pissed off over a stupid email and fucking facebook.

So last year, I quietly challenged myself to stop drinking coffee. And I did. For 11 months. Until we got the bomb.com coffee maker for our wedding. But even so, I still choose tea / water over coffee.
My challenge is carbs. I eat a lot of carbs. Mainly because I love pizza. And bread. And potatoes. And beer. OMG my mouth is watering. So I am challenging myself to having no more than one thing of carbs a day.
My challenge doesn’t have to be for the full year - as the coffee wasn’t for a full year. I challenged myself for a week with no coffee. And it just so happened to go for 11 months. So this year, I challenge myself for two weeks.
